latressa has produced numerous events centered around wellness and community. She is the Founder of Move and Groove Yoga™, a community wellness offering that builds community through events focusing on music, movement and mindfulness practices. She has been engaged in several opportunities for clients that include, Food Bank for New York City, Narativ and the International Rescue Committee. Volunteer commitments include Amplify Her Foundation, New York Women’s Foundation, Apollo Theatre, Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, Girls Who Code, Advisory Board of the Makuu Black Cultural Center and member of The James Brister Society at the University of Pennsylvania.
move and groove yoga™ - a wellness initiative that seeks to build community through events focusing on music, movement and mindfulness practices. Move & Groove: Jazz & Yoga is our premier event which features vinyasa yoga and live music. Partnering with the National Jazz Museum in Harlem since 2016, this monthly open-level class pairs Vinyasa Flow yoga with live accompaniment by a rotation of live musicians. Other successful programs include, mindful play clinic for Creatives in Martha’s Vineyard with Black Girls Tennis Club and Content for Change, mini-retreat with Brace Life Studios, Summer Series in partnership with the Louis Armstrong House Museum, Reflect + Renew event on Martha’s Vineyard in partnership with The Thrive Mindfulness Project, HARLEM RESET featuring Brandee Younger, Sound and Self-care Speaker Series, Good Vibrations Sound Bath Series, and The Harmony Wellness Initiative in partnership with Public Records. move and groove yoga virtual offerings are now available on the site and here.
